2024-2025 Full Day Community Program: Our full day students begin Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

• Before school care 7:00 - 8:30 am (M,T,TH,F); 6:45-8:30 am (W)
• Academic day 8:30-3:30
• After school care 3:35-4:45
  • Late fees apply for students not picked up by 4:45pm.

2024-2025 Half Day Developmental Preschool: Our half day students begin Wednesday, July 31, 2024

• AM 8:30-11:00
• PM 1:00-3:30

2024-2025 FULL DAY COMMUNITY PROGRAM: In preparation for a July 30th start, all full day families will be notified the morning of July 29th, 2024 with their child's classroom assignment.  This will come to the primary email address that you noted during registration. Families are then invited to attend our Family Open House on July 29th from 6:00-7:00 pm.  Doors open at 6:00 pm.  Please enter door 1, 2, 3, or 7. The FIRST DAY for our full day students is July 30th.

2024-2025 HALF DAY DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM: In preparation for a July 31st start, all half day families will be notified the morning of July 29th with their child's assignment.   The welcome email will be sent to the primary email that the family provided the school upon registration.  Families will then be invited to come to our Family Open House on July 29th from 6:00-7:00.  You can visit the classroom, meet the teacher, bring supplies, etc.   Students begin on Wednesday, July 31st.

The supply list contains items for all students, as well as a few additional items specifically for each program.  If there is an item your child may need that is specific to his/her class, the teacher will share that with parents at a separate time.

Full-day community preschool and developmental preschool students will receive an AM and/or PM snack daily.  This is part of your fees that are paid at the start of the school year. If your child has food allergies or requires a specific diet, please contact Rebecca Leeper at (317) 544-6062. Food substitutions may be available with proper documentation.

PRESCHOOL menus may be found on the food service website and are subject to change. 

FULL DAY FAMILIES:

*All community FULL DAY preschool students are expected to eat a mid-day meal, packed either from home or from the cafeteria.  Lunch purchased through the school is $3.00 and is not part of the snack fee.

* Full day parents must send students with lunch on July 30th, as our kitchen does not open until July 31st.   Each day we will feature a hot entrée or Uncrustable served with fruits, vegetables and milk.

If your child is in developmental preschool and you are utilizing ACSC bus service, all campus bus loading and unloading will happen behind the WOELC. Your child's bus driver will call you prior to the start of the school year with specific curb-to-curb bus pickup/drop-off times. You will be given two car tags in the event you ever need to pick up your child at the end of the day.

If you choose to drop and pick your child up instead of utilizing special transportation, please carefully read the information below. 

MORNING SESSION Half Day Parent Drop Off

• The school day is 8:30-11:00am
• The drive approaching White Oak is ONE WAY.  Please follow all district signs to safely enter our campus.
• Beginning at 8:20am, you may get in the drop off line. When approaching the school, please stay to the RIGHT. (The left lane must be kept clear.) 
• If the seven car spots along the sidewalk are taken, please stop your vehicle at the designated crosswalk (painted yellow lines)
• Unloading is restricted to the seven designated spots along the sidewalk. Please do not park in the lot and walk across. You will be asked to return to your vehicle and get in the car line.
• Parents walk children to front door. Staff will meet children at the door at 8:30am.
• FOR THE SAFETY OF STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND STAFF, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM CELL PHONE USE UNTIL OFF THE WOELC CAMPUS.

MORNING SESSION Half Day Parent Pick Up

• Arrive on campus beginning at 10:50am and get in line along the front curb. Seven cars will fit at a time.
• Remain in your vehicle and clearly display your child's car tag. (Passenger side visor or dashboard is the best location)
• At 11:00am, please stand by your vehicle. A staff member will walk your child to you.
• Parents load children into vehicles.

• At 3:30pm, please stand by your vehicle. A staff member will walk your child to you.
• Parents load children into vehicles.

Teacher Assignments: Full day teachers will contact families on July 29th via the PRIMARY EMAIL used when registering. When Parent Square is updated for all WOELC students, all teacher communication will take place in this platform. 

Tuition and Fees: Please see the WOELC fees and payments page for specific information.  We encourage all families to utilize the electronic funds option for payments.  Detailed information can be found on the fees and payments page.  Are you an Avon School Corporation employee?  You have the option to have tuition automatically deducted from your paycheck.  A new form must be submitted each school year.  Please contact our school office for the form. 

Full Day Drop Off and Pick Up - General Information:  The drive approaching White Oak is ONE WAY.  Please follow ALL SIGNS for entering our campus. 

PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.  AT THE END, YOU WILL FIND A LINK TO OUR MAP. 

• At the Back to School Open House on Monday, July 29th (6-7:00 pm), you will be provided with two neon car tags with your child's name on them. Place on your visor or on a pants-hanger that can be hung from your rearview mirror when arriving on campus. IT MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE to staff. 
• BEFORE SCHOOL SCHEDULE:
  • 7:00-8:20.... Pull into drop-off lane, pulling all the way to the front. Quickly unload your child and walk them to the awning. Staff will escort students to their classroom. Front door service ends promptly at 8:20am. (Door is on an automatic timer and will lock.)
  • 8:20-8:30... Curb service has ended. Please get in drop off line, pulling to the front and wait for staff to exit at 8:30am. For the safety of all, parents are not permitted to park and walk children across the parking lot. You will be asked to return to your vehicle and get in the drop off line. 
• AFTER SCHOOL SCHEDULE:
  • Full day pickup begins at 3:30pm. Do not arrive to campus before 3:20pm.
  • Seven cars will fit in the drive-thru lane.  Once these spots are full, stay in the two waiting lines at the crosswalk. (See map below). We will permit 7 cars from one lane, followed by 7 cars from the alternate lane to pull up to the curb at a time.
  • Place your child's pickup placard in a visible spot (visor or dashboard).
  • 4:00-4:45pm - Curb service ends. Please park in front of the school and bring your placard into the vestibule. Show it to the staff member at the glass doors. Your child will be reunited with you in the vestibule. If you do not have your placard, you will be asked to visit the office to verify identity.
  • 4:45 Parents are considered late and late fees will apply. Continued late arrivals will result in dismissal from the program.
