Preschool class students must be 3 years old by August 1, 2025, in order to register for 2025-26 school year.

K-Bound preschool students must be 4 years old by August 1, 2025 in order to register. If your child turns 5 before August 1, 2025, you must contact your local elementary school to register for kindergarten.

Students must be fully toilet trained and independent in all toileting needs and you must live within the Avon Community School Corporation boundaries (unless you are an employee). 

The non-refundable application fee is $150 for full-day students. Program fees, including tuition, snacks, supplies and late payment or pick-up fees, can be viewed on our Fees & Payment page.

2025-2026 Full-Day Community Preschool - The full day program will mirror the Avon Community School District school year calendar. Community preschool starts Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The calendar can be found HERE.

• Before School Care:
  • 7:00 am - 8:00 am,  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 
    • Arrivals between 8:00-8:10 must wait in the car line until 8:10, as our staff transitions for the arrival of all students
  • 6:45 am  - 8:00 am Wednesday 
• School Day
  • 8:15 am - 3:15 pm
• After-School Care:
  • 3:15 pm - 4:45 pm
    •  Late pickup charges:  $20.00 fee for first 15 minutes; $5.00 charge for each minute past 5:00 pm. Repeated late pick-ups will result in dismissal from the program.

2025-26 Half-Day Developmental Preschool - Developmental preschool starts Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The developmental preschool program runs on ACSC's student calendar. The calendar can be found HERE.

• Morning session: 8:15-10:45 am
• Afternoon session: 12:45 -3:15 pm

All students, whether they are part of the developmental or community program, will follow the district calendar. 

All community students (parent paid) will be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian. There is no bus service for our community program.

Developmental preschool students have access to bus transportation as part of their Individualized Education Plan.

The following application schedule will be followed:

Returning Full Day Students - January 27th at 6:00 am (These families will be provided a unique application link, via Parent Square, to apply.)

Avon Employees - February 3rd at 6:00am. (Avon employees will receive a unique link via the Inside Avon Newsletter. Employment will be verified.)

Community Members Residing in the Avon Community School Corporation Boundaries - February 6th at 6:00am. The general public application link will be on our website.

Applications are processed in the order they are received.

Once your application has been processed, a member of our office staff will call you on the phone number provided in the application. Before submitting your application, please ensure that your phone number is correct.

You will be asked to bring in the $150 non-refundable application fee (cash, personal check, cashier's check, or money order).  When the application fee is collected, you will complete pre-registration information with our registrar.

Once pre-registration is completed, our registrar will provide you with a unique code to access your online registration portal. The online portal is where you will upload two proofs of residency (dated within the last 30 days), upload your your child's birth certificate (unless your child is already a White Oak student), and complete various forms. 

Your child is fully registered  once all forms and documents are completed and approved. Our registrar will send you a confirmation that your child is registered for the upcoming school year. Please make sure the email address is correct when you apply.

At this time, we do not accept CCDF. However, we are currently working towards being certified to accept CCDF vouchers.

Yes.  All Avon school nurses are employed through Hendricks Regional Health. Onsite hours for the 2025-2026 are anticipated to be 7:30am - 3:30pm.  You can reach our school nurse by calling (317) 544-6700.
